THE CSP GOALS

The Computer Science Park was established in June 2014 to definitively bridge the gap between Universities and Companies in the different ICT disciplines studied within the Department of Computer Science of the University of Verona.

Companies that connect with the CSP find proven tools to innovate and acquire skills. CSP is a real technological transfer that allows direct access to high-level skills through teachers, researchers and start-ups hosted at the department's premises.

Once the companies' topic of interests have been identified, the CSP provides skills, means and, if needed, spaces to build customized innovation projects. It is like a Research and Development division for the company, with the add-on of knowing how to get public funding to support innovation (see the European Horizon 2020 program or the JointResearch of the Verona University, or private linked to Foundations or other).

The CSP: 

  • promotes technology transfer in all fields of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

  • promotes the creation of spin-offs, as initiatives between the Department of Computer Science, companies and local institutions

  • aims to attract start-ups thanks to its stimulating and receptive environment for business expansion

  • is an attractive place for the technical offices of medium-large companies wishing to increase the technological level of their products.

SERVICES

Within the CSP, companies will have at their disposal:

 

  • Offices with high-level communication infrastructures, autonomous entry, dedicated signs, fully furnished

  • Availability of meeting rooms, conference rooms, workshops, laboratories, server rooms and refreshment area

  • Common logistical and administrative services

  • Integration initiatives, co-marketing, network with other CSP companies and DI

OPPORTUNITIES

For companies wishing to undertake research collaborations with the CSP, we offer:

  • Mixed basic research contracts, internships, theses, feasibility studies (DI) and applied research, prototypes, training, basic products (CSP companies) and a unique research partner with two different sensitivities

  • Technology transfer support: the search results are transformed into prototypes allowing them to be easily inserted into a product portfolio

  • Access to funded projects (Horizon 2020 calls, Veneto Region projects, Joint Research, etc.)
